World of work
In the autumn term, we held a World of Work Day. This years World of Work Day was focused on cluster themes.
-
Green Cluster – Animals and Pets. Pupils learnt how to look after our pets.
-
Yellow Cluster – Animals and Minibeasts. Pupils learnt how to work safely outside looking after animals.
-
Orange Cluster – Seas and Oceans. Pupils learnt about jobs that involve us to consider water safety.
-
Red Cluster – Pupils had travel support from people who help us in the community.
-
Purple Cluster - Pupils looked at jobs that make a difference to our world.
Clusters were able to investigate a variety of job roles through both visiting guests and hands-on experiences, including The Animal Man, The Park Rangers, West Midlands Fire Service, Canal & River Trust and Barclays UK.
Independent Work Ready Project:
This term the classes in Purple cluster have taken part in an Independent Work Ready project where they participated in art sessions that were focused on different art techniques. They were able to choose their favourite design, and this was then sent off and digitally printed onto a product of their choosing. The results were amazing. Each child was awarded a certificate for taking part in the project.
The pupils were extremely happy with their products and can’t wait to take them home and show their parents/carers.
